Adolescent & Young Adult Therapy

Empowering teenagers and young adults to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity — available in Sandton, Waverley, and online across South Africa.

Guiding the Next Generation Through Growth & Change
Adolescence and early adulthood are times of identity, pressure, and discovery. Therapy provides a safe space to explore emotions, relationships, and self-understanding.

Boitumelo Mamiane, an HPCSA-registered Clinical Psychologist, helps teens and young adults navigate school, social, and family challenges while developing emotional resilience.

As one of the few Black/African male psychologists in Johannesburg, Boitumelo’s culturally grounded, multilingual approach (Afrikaans, English, Sesotho sa Leboa, Xitsonga, Setswana, isiXhosa, isiZulu) creates an inclusive environment where young people feel understood and supported.

How Therapy Works (Approach)

Boitumelo uses an integrative and age-appropriate approach, combining:

  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – for anxiety, stress, and thought regulation.

  • Psychodynamic therapy – for emotional growth and understanding behaviour patterns.

  • Motivational Interviewing – to encourage autonomy and self-direction.

  • Family and school collaboration – ensuring holistic support when needed.

Each session helps young people build insight, develop coping skills, and find their own voice in a complex world.
